Light Diesel Oil
Light Diesel Oil (LDO) is a type of diesel fuel that is commonly used in various industrial and commercial applications. It is a light distillate oil that is obtained by refining crude oil. LDO has a lower density and viscosity compared to heavier diesel fuels, making it suitable for use in applications where a lighter fuel is required. It is often used as a fuel for diesel engines in generators, pumps, compressors, and other machinery where a reliable and efficient fuel source is needed

MAITRI METAL (P) LIMITED excels as a channel partner, distributor, and stockist of Light Diesel Oil (LDO). Committed to quality and reliability, we ensure that our LDO meets stringent industry standards, making us a trusted supplier for a range of industrial, commercial, and residential applications
Specification
- Density : Typically falls within the range of 0.82 to 0.85 grams per cubic centimeter (g/cm³). Density is a measure of the mass per unit volume of the oil.
- Viscosity : Generally, the viscosity of LDO ranges from 1.5 to 3.0 centistokes (cSt) at 40°C. Viscosity refers to the oil's resistance to flow and is crucial for efficient combustion and lubrication.
- Flash Point : The flash point of LDO typically ranges from 38 to 65°C (100 to 150°F). This is the lowest temperature at which the oil can vaporize to form an ignitable mixture in air.
- Pour Point : Usually falls between -6 to -12°C (20 to 10°F). The pour point is the lowest temperature at which the oil remains fluid enough to flow or be pumped.
- Sulfur Content : LDO often contains low sulfur levels, typically below 0.5% by weight. Reducing sulfur content is important to minimize environmental pollution and meet regulatory standards.
- Distillation Range : The distillation range indicates the temperature range over which various components of the oil are vaporized. The initial boiling point typically ranges from 150 to 230°C (300 to 446°F), with the final boiling point usually below 360°C (680°F).
- Cetane Number : Generally ranges from 40 to 50. The cetane number is a measure of the ignition quality of the fuel. Higher cetane numbers indicate better ignition characteristics and smoother engine operation.
- Color : LDO typically has a pale yellow to light brown color. The color can vary depending on factors such as the source of crude oil and the refining process used
